 | Data and information management of research data are essential for the effective use of research resources. However data management is often insufficiently planned, or not planned for at all, and is assigned a low priority or not existing within academic curricula. Therefore an important aspect of this project is the training and capacity building on data management. Two training courses dealing with the main principles of “Data Management for Scientific Data” were organised in 2008-2009 for scientists from the Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO). During 2009-2010 a "Data Day" will be organised in CEME, CTE and CL where students can archive during several hands on sessions the data they are working on.
