Greenhouse experiments in which ribwort plantain (Plantago lanceolata) was experimentally inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi to study their effects on plant growth and defense more

Data on growth (biomass) and defense (concentrations of leaf and root terpenoid defenses, iridoid glycosides) of Plantago lanceolata after seven weeks of growth in a greenhouse. Treatments were inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi (Glomus intraradices) from the start (or not), and induction by an insect herbivore (Spodoptera exigua), jasmonic acid, salicylic acid (or none), three days prior to harvest.
